Here are a few more tips and tricks to get the most out of Lavender:
Rely on your Email Coach for suggestions
In this image of Lavender in Gmail, you can see that the Email Coach is pinned open, and long sentences are highlighted under the âNeeds Workâ section. In the email body, any sentence that Lavender deems too lengthy is highlighted to make it easier to see.
Try clicking on each long sentence to see what Lavender suggests as an alternative.
Each item under âNeeds Workâ will highlight a different section of the email or provide a suggestion.
Have multiple suggestions under "Needs Work"? Use Apply All Fixes to change them all - at once!
When clicking on âApply All Fixes,â Lavender will work to generate a suggested copy that considers all of the areas highlighted under âNeeds Work.â
Youâll see the leaves open and close while it works on generating the copy. Once itâs ready, it will look something like this:
Click âReplace,â and the entire email body copy will change to what Lavender has suggested:
Now you can review the copy for clarity and understanding, and itâs ready to send! đ
Use your Mobile Editor
Did you know that 81% of emails are read on mobile devices? (Yes, itâs true!) đ€Ż
Optimizing your email to be read on a mobile device increases your chances of the recipient replying.
You can use Lavenderâs Mobile Editor to see what your email would look like when read on a Mobile Device. Selecting the âShow Formatting Issuesâ button at the bottom will highlight the part of the email that needs editing specifically for mobile optimization.
đĄ Tip: want to see what the email would look like on a mobile device using dark mode? Click the moon icon. How about if the email is read on a smartwatch? Click the watch icon!
Finally - remember to have fun!
