Installing Lavender for Outlook on a PC

Everything you need to know about installing Lavender for Outlook for PC

It's here! You can install Lavender on your Outlook desktop app. πŸŽ‰

Lavender is available for Outlook as a custom add-in by installing the file here.

Versions of Outlook on PC that support custom add-ins include:

  • Windows 10

  • Windows 11 Office 365

πŸ’‘ Note:

  • Business Basic does not support add-ins

  • Add-ins for Outlook Desktop are only supported on the Microsoft Business Standard and above tiers

If you're an Admin, try adding your whole team through an admin deploy.

Installing the Add-In


1. Open Outlook and navigate to Tools > Get Add-ins

You may also see this icon πŸ‘‡

2. Navigate to My add-ins

3. Scroll to custom add-ins, select Add from File

4. Download the Outlook integration .xml file and add the file

You can find the file at the bottom of this page or by clicking here.

5. Click install, then you'll see Lavender added!

6. Once back in your inbox, open a New Message to see the Lavender add-in.

Note: You may need to pin the add-in.

Uninstalling the Add In


If you need to install a new version of Lavender for Outlook, follow these steps (screenshots above)

  1. Head to Get Add Ins

  2. Click My addins

  3. Scroll to Custom Addins

  4. Click the three dots

  5. Click Remove


Please know there are a lot of nuances to PC Add-Ins. It is not our intention provide misleading instructions, but many versions of Outlook are different, making it difficult to be one size fits all.
