Troubleshooting Lavender

Ah, tech issues. We all have them - even at Lavender. 😉

Our goal is to keep your use of Lavender as issue-free as possible. But if you’re experiencing any issues, here are the steps we recommend starting with first to troubleshoot!

Check to see if your browser is up to date

To update Google Chrome:

  • Open the Chrome browser

  • Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner

  • Choose Help > About Google Chrome.

Click "Check for updates." If an update is available, download the update and restart Chrome.

To update Microsoft Edge:

Go to Settings and more > Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge (edge://settings/help) in the browser.

If the About page shows Microsoft Edge is up to date, you don't need to do anything.

If the About page shows, an update is available. Select Download and Install to proceed.

Clear your browser cache

Browser caches can get bogged down with data, and processes can get stuck!

Restart your computer

Yes, really. 😆

Restarting your computer will often help clear out the cache in other apps, force updates to finish, etc.

Uninstall and reinstall Lavender

💡 Note: When you uninstall and reinstall Lavender, you’ll want to double-check your Integrations and Settings in the Dashboard.

You may need to reconnect your integrations, toggle on Lavender Anywhere, etc.

Still, having issues?

If the issue persists, reach out to us at [email protected]
We’ll be happy to help troubleshoot with you!

Information that would be helpful to share when you reach out to Support:

  • Describe the issue you’re experiencing in as much detail as possible. Where is it popping up - in Gmail? In an integration?

  • When did you first encounter this issue? (Today, the past few days - a rough estimate is fine!)

  • Where do you primarily use Lavender? (In your Gmail inbox? With an integration? etc.)

If you can provide a screenshot or recording of what you’re experiencing, that helps, too! 😃
