You can upload leads into Ora using a CSV file or a Salesforce report. This guide walks through formatting and mistakes to avoid.

Required CSV formatting

Your file must include:

  • A column titled Email

  • Valid, properly formatted email addresses

Optional but helpful columns:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Title

  • Account Name

Keep it simple. Use consistent headers and avoid merged cells, hidden characters, or non-standard formatting. Save your file as .csv.

Example of a valid CSV file

First Name

Last Name

Title

Account Name

Email

Harry

Potter

Wizard

Wizards Inc

If you’re uploading multiple files, make sure each one follows the same structure.

Why list quality matters

Your lead list powers how Ora personalizes emails. A strong list = better performance.

We recommend:

  • Uploading at least 500 leads per agent

  • Matching the list to your campaign’s targeting (roles, industries, seniority)

  • Avoiding generic emails like info@ or sales@

If your agent isn’t sending or match rate is low, the issue is often lead quality or alignment.

Common upload issues

Leads not uploading?
Check that your email column is labeled exactly Email.

Uploaded but not sending?
Double-check that your campaign is targeting the right roles or departments

What’s next?

Once your leads are uploaded, the next step is training your agent:

This is where you define who you're targeting, what your company does, and how Ora should personalize emails.
